Fun for everyone

Me and my husband have three boys and we all love starwars and hotwheels. Our boys are eight, six and two in a half and love playing together so i knew this star wars by hotwheels toy was going to get some good use. This toy is very easy to put together, directions are easy to read and my eight year old put it together within two minutes or less. I love the fact that there are not a ton of pieces to put together and no small pieces to get lost. This toy is operated by three double A batteries that go into the base of the main part of the toy. There are sounds that change and a joy stick that controls the star wars fighter pods that make them flip and spin to fight. My boys had a blast with this toy and it definitely was entertaining for them and my husband. Most of the pieces are detachable and easy to break down and put away, the only piece that is a one time assembly is the long center pole that everything attaches to. This toy was the perfect starwars hotwheel toy for my three boys! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Star wars playset

This is my sons second starwars playset but this is a way better version of a hot wheels star wars playset. Its bigger than i expected. The accessories are wy cool. The millenium falcon wasn't i expected it to be it was heavy and of high quality. My son enjoys playing with it by itself too! :) the assemlbling was easy for us but i dont think my 5 yr old can assemble it by himself. Also i wish that it comes with batteries. Over all impression with the product is a 4 rating. Quality is great, age appropriateness i think its good for 6 yrs old and older. My son was excited at first but eventually stopped playing with it. And got bored. Hehehe. Its good for a few mins or hrs of playing but he got bored eventually. But as for entertainment its unique and cool. My husband liked it! Hahaha he is a star wars fanatic. I bet he loves it more than my son. :) with the movie coming out it would be an IN toy for older kids. Even dads who have been following star wars for ages lol [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A fun and decent toy

This Star Wars Hot Wheels set was very eagerly received by my six year old son. He is a huge fan of both Hot Wheels and Star Wars, so this toy was definitely the best of both worlds for him. The product's packaging was appealing and not at all misleading. What is shown on the packaging is what you get. The product was easy to assemble, which was a plus, because it meant that my son got to play sooner! It took a while for my son to figure out the controls, but when he did, he went to town. He has played with this toy daily since we got it, which is kind of rare; he loses interest in things rather quickly. The only maybe negative aspect of this play set is that I could see it quickly becoming boring, as it is a very repetitive toy...you can only do the one thing with it, I would suggest including more starships with it, or having add-on components to keep it interesting. Overall, this toy was a good product- age appropriate, of high quality, and very cool looking, but like I said, I could see it quickly becoming redundant. A fun and decent toy

I was really happy with the packaging of this play set. It has a easy open box which opens very easily. I was expecting a whole bunch of parts to put together but it was mostly put together, which is awesome. The pieces were fairly easy to get out of the packaging. Definitely parent assembly is required, so do not expect your child to do it by his/her self. I do hate that it does not come with batteries. We always forget the batteries. The toy itself is an awesome quality. The millennium falcon is pretty heavy and not plastic like it looks on the box. It has different sound effects when you are trying to knock down the target tie fighters which you can replace with real die cast figures. Which would make the play set awesome. The controller is really easy to work, rotating very well and it also moves the play set easily with no malfunctions or pauses etc. The ship clicks on and off easily and seems pretty stable when its spinning in circles. You do need a good amount of space to play with the play set. this is an awesome play set. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Hot Wheels Escape from Jakku

My kids were so excited when this showed up, they couldn't wait until I put it together so they could check it out. It took them a few tries to figure out how to swoop the falcon down to knock the smaller ones down, but once they got it it was easy for them to accomplish. It is pretty easy for the falcon to lock up against them though, when this happens you have to turn the toy off and gently move it. The point of the toy is to use the joy stick to swoop the falcon down at just the right moment so you can knock the three bad guys down, if the falcon gets knocked down you lost, if you get the three bad guys you won. While the concept is fun after a few times my kids got pretty bored with it. My daughter is only 4 and she played with a lot longer than my almost 8 year old so I wouldn't recommend this for older kids. I also don't see how this has anything to do with hot wheels. This is also a very large toy so make sure you have plenty of room to store it as it does not break down. It requires 3 AA batteries which of course were not included.
