I am not into yard work but it cost a fortune for some else to cut my hedges, I have 9. I bought this product and it works great. I had no problem with it at all. Even though it work great, I later saw a small chain saw for about the same price and hope I could have bought that instead so I could trim the hedges and cut some limbes off two of my trees that are hanging low. I definitely will recommend this product.
This is the second B&D 22 inch electric trimmer I have owned. The first one lasted 20 years and finally wore out 5 days ago. The first one was 2.8 amps: however, this one is 4 amps. More powerful and cuts thru 5/8 inch limbs. B&D has made improvements to this tool. I would highly recommend!
This is a nice trimmer. Light-weight, good cutting surface, easy to use. My only complaint is the safety trigger... while very effective in its purpose, your hand gets fatigued if you have a larger trimming surface, requiring frequent hand-flexing breaks. But overall, a very good trimmer.
Very powerful. I cut 30 year old hedge, and it cut like butter. Sturdy, comfortable to use. Great product.
Nice hedge trimmer
My shrubs were out of control so I purchased this Black & Decker 22" hedge trimmer. It went through thicker branches than my old model. It gets kind of heavy to hold after awhile but I opted for the bigger, heavy-duty model so it would last longer. My hedges look so nice now. I ruined my last trimmer by keeping it in an outdoor garden shed and the blades got all rusty. I will buy the recommended oil this time and oil the blades and keep in my garage instead. Wal-mart site-to-store is a nice option to save money on shipping. Many items aren't on the shelf at the stores so I like shopping on-line.
