Good for beginner

I bought this for my 11 year old daughter. The CDRom is easy (needed to adjust administrator settings to view, but I easily found this fix by Googling the product), and she loves being able to play with the headphones (or not). The melodies it plays displays the notes so the song can be played along with once the notes are learned. This is a great learning tool and it is not a disappointment; if you are looking to hook it up to your computer or do other peripheral-type things with it, you need to buy those adaptations. If you are looking to learn how to play a keyboard/piano or to get this for a child/teen as a gift, it's perfect.

Okay, but not great

The keyboard is decent, but the keys are smaller than a full length keyboard so it is difficult for me to play. It is fine for my child to play. I recommend adults get a full size keyboard to play music on. The headphones that came with this package do not work, only one side of them can be heard.

Don't hesitate!

My 14 yr old daughter loves it and is learning how to play. Very good value for what you get. It has many different functions and sounds great. We got the headphones kit and so glad we did! If you're looking for a decent quality entry level keyboard at a great price point, don't hesitate!

My 5 yr old neice loves it

We shopped for a keyboard for our 5 yr old neice and found this in several places online. We decided this was the keyboard we wanted because of the size, which is perfect for her tiny hands, and the price. The only problem we kept running into was that no other store offered the keyboard with the AC adaptor included and the ones they suggested as add on purchases other buyers said were not compatible. This package from Walmart is the only one we found that included the AC adaptor, and the fact that it also included headphones and an instructional CD for about the same price we would have paid elsewhere for the keyboard and adaptor was a great bonus. My neice and her parents especially loved the headphones.

A Melodious purchase

The casio keyboard is a good buy for beginners who are interested in learning to play music on it. The color, music and the sound system are excellent. More importantly, if you dont want to disturb anyone or are feeling embarassed to tune out the music you just learned, try the headphones.
