Abysmal sound

Picture was good. (Shipping was extra slow, but that's not the reason for the low rating.) But the sound.... Oh, no. I'd read some reviews that said it was poor, but others that talked about adjusting the sound in the set up. Nothing worked. Tinny, and even at 100 percent volume, I had to practically be on top of the set to hear the sound. Also -- the stand supplied with it ought to have been a simple matter to connect, but for some reason those tiny screws wouldn't tighten down, so the set wobbled. I would have tried harder to fix this problem had I actually been able to hear the program being broadcast. Nope. So everything got taken back apart, repacked, and returned. Fifteen days to get here; two hours to set up, unset, and take it out the door for a return.

Sceptre 24" 1080p LED HDTV with DVD Player

This is an excellent buy. Delivered right away with simple steps to set up. It gives great resolution and I like the size of the tv so that it can go anymore yet has a screen large enough for easy viewing. The box it is enclosed with actually has a carry handle which makes it easier to move. Possibly the best part of the tv is the built in DVD for ease of use and not having to add the additional external DVD player. The sound is a little low but it will keep my son from blasting the sound in the house. Also has a plug for earphones in case he really needs a louder sound for his personal use. The stand for the tv has to be tightened well or there is a little wobble. I highly recommend purchasing this tv. Earl

Picture mediocre at best, sound very poor quality.

I am disappointed in this TV DVD combo. The sound is terrible. Both in quality (very tinny sounding) and weak in range. 1-100 is very little actual range in sound. I can have it literally all the way up to 100 and it's not very loud. There is very poor black levels and the lots of bleeding of light around the bezel when the screen is supposed to be black. Despite the DVD being built in, I am returning it. The control buttons for the DVD are also VERY small, and even being female with small fingers, it's not easy to push the correct button without being very precise. I'm returning it for the 28" TCL Roku TV, and will just get a separate DVD player if I need it.

Nice Budget LED TV/DVD - But Not 12V Power

I ordered this online based on another review that stated "Well worth the money. We use ours in our trailer. It is 110 volt, but you can run it off of 12 volt supply if you get the right cord. " Well the power cord is a direct 110v wall cord, it is not a 12v to 110v Wall Wort (AC/DC Adapter) which would be able to use a 12 volt supply with the right cord. Our goal was to purchase a TV/DVD with this AC/DC adapter plug, and just use the 12V in the RV and not require 110 power or generator to power the TV. I'm sure the TV works fine, but I returned for a 12V capable. I do wonder if DVD ejecting issues are due to putting the DVD in with label facing front instead of label facing rear as the directions state.

less than one month

had this less than one month, use it only for DVD play while on treadmill. I use headphones so sound is not an issue. This unit has already started freezing/ skipping and several days later has begun making a rattling sound while playing- like the disc is loose inside the unit. Tech support response to my email was basically to return unit to the store, so I'm guessing quality is known to be sub-par-
