Quality product, good fit, works well!
I purchased this hitch for a 2007 Saturn Vue. It is well made with good welds, quality parts and material hardware. Instructions are average. Packaging was poor for such a well made item. It was put in a cardboard box and shipped. As a result, both ends of the hitch were poking through the box and had made contact with asphalt or concrete along the journey. Not bad enough to reject the part but really, how about protecting the ends with some heavy cardboard taped to each end before putting it in a box... OK, install. 6 bolts, easy except that 2 vertical drop bolts must be snaked through the channel frame to attach the center part of the hitch to the frame. The hardware wires provided to complete the job were each a foot short. I wound up using aviation safety wire to do the job. The rest of the install was uneventful. Again, well made, high quality, works great and fit well on my Vue. Just more attention to detail please with packaging and parts specifications for a 5 Star rating.
2007 Saturn Vue perfect fit
I have a 2007 Saturn Vue. It matched up perfectly to the holes I installed it within 30 minutes. I am very impressed with the quality of the product and I would recommend this to anyone who has a Saturn Vue. Very easy to install if you have two people. But for me I ended up using a car jack, to put it on my Saturn the tricky part is balancing it on the jack I ended up using for zip ties the zip ties were rated up to 200 pounds I don't want to take a chance laugh out loud. Before I installed it I watched YouTube videos on how to install it, I bought this so I can install a motorcycle carrier which I will by next month. When I installed it the bumper I had to pull back a little just to get to the two bolts if you have a Saturn and you're stalling it you'll see what I mean the back of the bumper the bottom is kind of flexible you can pop it out a little bit when you're installing it so you can fasten it, the two bolts near the bumper are the hard ones to get to. If you can install this thing by yourself you will feel more accomplished.
Great quality hitch and excellent value
Very competitive price for a high quality brand name hitch. Installation would have been quicker if I had put the hitch in place first to confirm where the nuts and bolts go (you will probably have multiple options depending on your vehicle - I have a 2015 GMC Terrain). The feeder wires (like piano wire) should have been 6-12 inches longer. Once complete, it fits perfectly and looks like it was factory installed.
Good fit! Not too bad to get mounted
I was surprised how well the holes lined up, which made it much easier to mount. Could not get the bolts into the center holes because the plate was too big or the hole in the box frame of the car, where the plate and bolt needed to go, was too small. In either case I will be using the hitch only to carry a bike rack, so I feel I didn't need that extra support. If I were towing, there would have to been some cutting to get those center bolts in place.
This item was everything I expected from a hitch. Easy installation, awesome product. Description was accurate.
