I was so impressed on how easy this was to use. I highly recommend this product! I made a zucchini grilled chicken pesto dish with the thick noodle blade. Delicious!
Vegetation Pro works great. Easy and smooth cutting! So far we've used it for zucchini, peppers and sweet potatoes, all of the cut very easily. Sweet potatoes did stain the plastic around the blade, but that's not a problem to me. I rinsed and hand washed all the parts off right after cutting. Quick and easy! Foods cook quickly and taste delicious!
Listen, I tried a few other cheap items to make zucchini noodles and was not too happy about it. This item 'rocks'! I powered through 3 Zuch's in less then 5 minutes and picked out minimal seedy type ribbons. I also like that this has 3 different blades (I used the thick ribbon) and the other 2 sit securely in the base. PLUS, you can break this unit down into smaller parts if you need to however, to me this this doesn't take a lot of space in it's natural state. The suction base stuck like glue to my counter top, no problem. I did rub a light coating of Vaseline on the tracks as the crank mechanism was dragging when I tried to slide it back and forth. Not a big deal, easy fix. I will use this often and possibly for other veg/squash. If nothing else, I can quickly make Zucchini noods as I'm done with wheat products. That's what I really wanted this for and it works for my purpose.
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing & noted complaints about having to have upper body strength to operate or that the suction cup didn't hold & so on. I purchased at after Christmas sale only $5.00 so not much to lose. Very impressed! I didn't bother washing it because I didn't want to waste time if it didn't work. Straight outta box I incerted a very large baking potato & using the thick spiral plate proceeded to churn out a huge stack of perfect curled potatoes. The suction cup held tight to the counter. It didn't take much strength at all. I have a very bad back & my shoulders & neck have been bothering me. I had no problems. The blades are very sharp & it cuts beautiful restaurant style curls & ribbons. I'm going back to Walmart today & purchasing 2 more for my daughter's.
I LOVE it!
I just used my Veggetti Pro to make Zucchini pasta and I LOVE it! I was spending way too much money at the store buying zucchini pasta, when it is so much cheaper and fresher to make it yourself. Also, here is a tip: To clean the blades and the part that holds the vegetable in place use a new toothbrush with dish soap.
