I like it.
I really like this a lot. I had the scan n cut and that was an over priced joke compared to this. Unfortunately I went through a lot to get this machine. First one damaged, then second was damaged even before it left fedex and fedex sent it back and then had to spend an extra $20 to get another one overnighted. It has been a really annoying process with walmart but i got it and im quite happy with it. My only 2 gripes would be im not a fan of blue :( and my goodness the mat stinks of some chemical. Its bad even my husband commented on it.Cant be good to breathe in. Im actually a little shocked they would use something that strong. My scan n cut mat never smelled but the unit was nothing compared to the cricut. I would definitely recommend. I love the software!!! The only design flaw in the software I wish they had when you upload an image or words that it would let you move them independently. That was the only thing i actually liked about the scan n cut. You can only do this on the cricut with non uploaded images and words but other than that it truly is an amazing and quiet machine.
I'm new to crafting so decided to purchase this beautiful machine after watching a ton of YouTube videos. The box comes with the machine, the powercord,USB cord, Green ultra Sticky Matt, cutting blade, Silver pen and a get started packet that includes instructions 1 iron on sheet and 2 colored card stock pieces. I'm a little disappointed the machine doesn't come with a carrying case but it can always be purchased separately. Over all I'm in love with the machine and can't wait to get started on my crafting!! Hope this was helpful.
Must have for crafters!
I've had the opportunity to use the Cricut Explore Air for a few weeks now, and I can tell you that I am absolutely head over heels for this machine! Here's why - Great Features: - WIRELESS. The ability to design and cut wirelessly! I mean, you can literally sit on your iPad on the couch and design something, pop into the craft room when you're ready and start cutting! The Cricut Design Space has been updated and redesigned as well so the format on the iPad is the exact same as the format if you were to use a desktop or laptop. - EASY TO USE. If you've never used an electronic cutting machine before, the ease of use with the Cricut Explore Air is a great place to start! Setting it up on your computer/iPad is a breeze (and takes less than 5 minutes) and there are built in tutorials within the software to help you along with your very first project (materials included with the machine). - QUALITY. Excellent cut quality. I've also had experience with a Cricut Expression 2 and a Cricut Explore and have never, ever had to replace a blade, even after 2 years! I've used the Cricut Explore Air to cut a variety of projects - intricate, vinyl, iron on, you name it! All have been successful and CRAZY easy. - IMAGE OPTIONS. For those who haven't used either the Cricut or Silhouette machines before, you may not be totally aware of how you can access the images to cut on your machine. First, there are free images that are straight up free and you don't need anything to use them! Second, there are images that you can get through the monthly subscription service ($9.99 per month) for over 25,000 images and fonts that you can use as many times as you want! Third, you can purchase individual images or cartridges either through the Design Space software. Fourth, you can buy (or use older) Cricut cartridges (physical cartridges you buy in store or online). And FINALLY, you can upload and cut your own images! Lots of options. The Cricut Explore Air is practically the same size and weight as the Cricut Explore. It fits easily on my desk next to my computer, but if you wanted to put it away when not in use (or move it to a different location to use the wireless feature!) - it's very portable, lightweight, and comes with a carrying case! If you are a casual crafter, a hard core DIYer, experienced with electronic cutting machines or want to dip your toes in the papercrafting pool for the very first time, the Cricut Explore Air is the perfect place to get creative!
I previously had a silhouette but the Cricut is so much better! it's way easier to load, it's quieter, and has more designs to choose from. I also love that i can design something using my Iphone! i can also use the Cricut wirelessly. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
Does more than $1000 vinyl cutters
My husband and I are very impressed by this little machine. It is precise, there is very little learning curve, even for those in our family who are not used to crafter machines. We've made window decals, cards, t-shirts, felt wearables, and more...in the first few weeks.
