Packaging Banged Up, Product Survived
It says to rate and review my purchase, so I am going to review my purchase experience and the item. I was in the store as I began my shopping trip, and I saw that if you ordered this with in-store pick up you could save about $6-$7. So I ordered it as I was in the aisle looking at the product. There were probably 20 of these hanging on the shelf. When I got a text saying that my order was ready I went to the area for in-store pick up and the person who is selecting the product from the shelf had grabbed a very beat up box, but it was the holidays and I was in a hurry so I took a gamble instead of standing in the customer service line . I would like to think the associates were trained to pick an item that wasn't beat up and let in store shoppers choose if they want to grab that one off the shelf. With that being said I was surprised the curling iron wasn't damaged. It works great and my wife loves it. I read reviews about it burning hair, but the temperature is adjustable and hasn't been an issue.
Does the Job
I really like the look and feel of my new curling iron. The problem is that the tip of the iron gets very hot. My old iron had the same type of tip but didn’t retain heat. Is the tip supposed to get so hot that your fingers are constantly burned.
The quick heat feature is great. The ability to select a temperature makes this curling iron versatile so I can get the best curl without overheating my hair. I am so glad I made this purchase!
Wonderful curling iron
I've had this curling iron for a week now and so far it works beautifully. I bought it because I'm getting married in 3 months and I needed a nicer curling iron to use than my old metal ones. It has a very smooth flow to it when pulling through your hair, unlike my metal curling irons that tend to snag. The four heat settings work really well for your type of hair and the style you want. I have medium-thick hair that does not hold curl well. I can curl it in the morning and it's usually flat by the early afternoon, but with this curling iron I still have some curl and bounce left at the end of the day. And I can adjust the setting if I want wavy hair vs. spiral-type curls. It heats up so fast. I usually turn it on 5 minutes before I'm going to use it and I can use it to curl my whole head! I used to turn on 3 different size curling irons about 20 minutes before I was going to use them and when one started to cool off I'd used the next one. This curling iron stays hot the whole time and I'm done with my hair in 10 minutes. The sleeve is also really nice to put over it when you're done so you don't burn yourself or burn anything else if it falls on the floor. The only problem I've had is that I sometimes hit the on/off button when curling my hair. Which I usually notice right away so I turn it back on and it doesn't seem to lose any heat. I haven't tested the automatic shut-off feature yet but it seems like a great feature. I have definitely come home to a hot countertop before because I forgot to turn off my older curling irons. I would definitely recommend this curling iron and I plan to by a couple of different sizes as well!
