This stuff SAVED me.

Over the summer, my poor big toe kept YELLING at me in pain. It just was NOT having it. I went to the doctor, who referred me to a local podiatrist, where I ended up having a small surgical procedure done. She gave me all the instructions to care for it, wrapping it up in dark green bandage that stuck to itself. I went straight home, thinking I had the necessary tools to care for my healing foot. I couldn't have been more wrong. It turned out, all I had to wrap it with was gauze and first-aid tape. The botched bandage kept wanting to come off. My father rushed to the drugstore and picked up some of this self-adhesive bandage to drop it off for me at work, where my job description of running back and forth between the sales floor and the dressing room had forced my homebrew bandage off, and it wasn't going back on. This stuff SAVED me. I was able to chase children through the store as needed, and it put a lot less stress on me knowing that I could work AND protect my wound from infection. Thank you, ACE, for a wonderful product!

Concept is nice...

I have a sprained ankle. I needed to have a smaller width bandage and could not find a standard wrap at my local pharmacy. So I went with this 3"self adhesive. Even when first trying to use it I was frustrated that it was sticking everywhere but after that it was just a matter of what shoes I could wear if I needed to go to the store etc. I tried sandals and little did I know it was going to make everything worse. The wrap was sticking to my sandal, pulling at my foot and causing me to have issues walking. I'm peeved that I just don't have a standard wrap my sprain is getting worse and every day is just me looking at this nasty wrap, having to deal with it and just put it on because, well from the looks of it water doesn't really help the situation.

Self adhering for.... DIRT

Bought this from a local pharmacy for sprained ankle. Used it for almost a day. It won't adhere and became loose, so had to re wrap my ankle again and again. Then it got dirty. Tried to wash it with lukewarm water and soap. Nope, the dirt won't come off. Good only as one-use! Better buy the non-adhering.

Not impressed

I sprained my wrist and needed to wrap it up. I was hoping for the traditional style bandage with clips but the self adhesive type were the only kind available so since I really needed it, that is what I got. After the initial wrap it becomes a hassle as it wants to stick to itself and gets folded over and misshapen and it is time consuming and impossible to get it straightened back out. It also loses its adhesive quality on the ends where it is most needed very quickly - I've only been using it for four days and on the third day it was already coming unwrapped a bit and today it is coming unwrapped to the point it is not doing much good to have it on. I'll be ordering some of the standard bandages with clips to keep on hand for future use, since I can't find anything but self adhesive locally, and this will continue to do till those come in but I am really not impressed with it at all.

great product

This is an excellent product and has superior advantages to using gauze and tape or traditional ace wraps to hold bandages in place on all extremities. I saw a huge advantage in using this when my dog had several lacerations to his legs from being hit by a car it was easy to wrap and tear and be assured it would hold the dressings in place with out the fear of tape coming loose or sharp clips falling off like the ones used with an ace bandage. I also only had to wrap it once around the leg so that the ends overlapped to secure it since the dog did not like to have dressing changes this product made it easier to get through the changes with less stress for the dog and myself.. have also used the self wrapping tape on my son when he broke his pinky finger to splint it to the other finger. It made it easy and comfortable to wrap and strong enough to offer the support that was needed for this injury!!!
