Warning: Junk product

If I could give zero stars, I would. Bought model CT22410 an hour ago. Unpackaged, loaded batteries in the remote, plugged in, turned on. Smelled electrical odor. Saw frying sparks through control panel, and unit stopped. Dead. Junk. I am on call back for Lasko warranty since I didn't want to wait on hold. DON'T BUY!

Good heat, but the temp control did not work

This heater definitely puts out good heat. My HVAC went out so I used this at night in my bedroom, which is approximately 15'x13'. It definitely warmed up my room; too much, in fact. You have the option for maximum heat or low heat. In Maximum heat only, you can select different temp setting in 5 deg intervals, i.e. 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 deg. I would set my unit on 70 thinking the heater would shut off when the room reached that temp. But my unit stayed on all night. (You could also set a timer so the unit shuts off after a certain number of hours.) For me, the temp control was key and it did not work. Fortunately, it does have a remote so when it got too toasty in the room, I could turn it off with the remote. (You just have to know where the buttons are located in the dark because there is no back-light on the remote. So PRO: It puts out great heat CON: Could not get the temp control to work on my unit so it runs non-stop. I'm thinking I just got a "lemon." If the temp control works, I would definitely recommend this unit.

This One Makes the Room Warm

Found this heater in my local WW and just purchased it yesterday and used it last evening in my small den. So far it is perfect. It brought the temp up in the room fast, it is very quiet, it oscillates if you choose that option so that it spreads the heat throughout the room. I prefer a heater that blows the warm air out so I can direct that immediate heat onto my legs and feet. You can set the temp you want and/or set the timer to turn the unit off automatically, and it has a remote which I don't need since the heater is close to me. Over the years I have owned other Lasko ceramic heaters and they do a good job and do not run the electric up so high. It is certainly less expensive than trying to heat my home with oil. I use the Lasko as supplemental heat so as to keep my thermostat for the furnace turned down. So in my small den perhaps 12'x12' it warms it up nicely.
