The Real Thing
I had been looking for a calculator to replace my older Texas Instruments 1706 hand held calculator, which after years of good service, gave out. I bought this mini desktop in addition to the new 1706 to replace an older mini off brand desktop of my mothers. So much for history. Bottom line is, I could not find an inexpensive calculator that has commas after the numbers rather than apostrophes, i.e. 1,000 as opposed to 1'000. If you don't believe me, pick up a Casio brand and see for yourself. The calculator in review: A very good small calculator with simple, easy to use functions. I would buy one again, and would most definitely recommend this one to anyone who just wants to calculate basic math.

handy desk tool
easy to press numbers makes this calculator very handy to have on a desk. Not too big. I only wanted a basic calculator so this one fits the bill.
Good basic calculator
I have used many basic TI calculators over the years, and this one performs as expected. I was very pleased with my TI 1795+ for many years, but seem to have mis-placed it, so I ordered the TI 1795SV. I tend to hold it in my hand when I work and it's a bit wider than I would like, but it still has a feature that I really like...it uses commas, instead of astericks, to separate thousands and millions. I also noticed that the rounded side edges make it a bit slippery to pick up at times, so that may take some getting used to. Still, I prefer to spend a few more $ for this one, than any of the others that I have seen.
So Happy to find this calculator again!
I've had this exact calculator for over 25 years and I have been very happy with it. Unfortutnatly, the last time I spilled my coffee on it was the last straw. I couldn't clean it up enough for it to function any longer. So I was ecstatic to find it's twin at Walmart. It's the perfect size for my desk, the numbers are a good size and it does everything I need it to do, and then some. I highly recommend this Texas Instruments calculator.
