Reese towpower hitch for Chrysler Town and Country
This was easy to install and fit perfectly. It only took about a half hour and it looks nice after your done. I put it on with the help of a floor jack but you must watch to keep it level. It may have been a little easier with two people but all in all was not that hard. The bolt on the passenger side above the muffler was a little difficult but I used a swivel socket attachment.
Solid and strong hitch reciever
The Reese Hitch Receiver I just installed on my 2013 Grand Caravan is everything I was expecting. Take your time installing and be sure to rotate the rear muffler hanger about 30 degrees so the muffler doe not vibrate against the hitch bracket. Instructions that came with the hitch are spot on.
Received without a box
Thank gosh I had it sent to my local fed ex for pickup rather than right to my front door (was away for work when it was to be delivered). I went to my local fed ex to pick up and there was just a hitch without a box just waiting for me. It was all scratched up. I asked the fed ex employee what had happened. She told me the hitch was originally placed in a card board box with no padding and no reinforcement. Thus during transit the hitch ripped itself out of the box (was shipped ground, came from mid west, I live in Ca. The hitch is quite heavy and I believe her story) The hitch only had a tag put on by fed ex to show where it's destination would be. I know someone that works for fed ex, they told me their job is not to handle the boxes as if there was crystal inside, it is the responsibility of the sender to make sure the package it properly sealed, padded and taped. Had I had it delivered to my front door, it would have been more scratched up resting on cement and would have been exposed for anyone to steal. If you order a hitch, be prepared to repaint the hitch with heat resistant paint.
Product seems to be good, strong. Fit well in my Town and Country 14' Took 30 minutes to install.
