Not very soft or silky.
I'm a bedding snob and usually like to have 400 thread count or higher, but I bought these sheets for my toddler's bed thinking that 300 and 'sateen' would be good enough. Usually sateen sheets are a bit silkier. After washing and drying the sheets, I was disappointed that they are a bit scratchy. I made the bed with them and then later when I was putting my daughter to bed, I noticed a hole right near the middle of the fitted sheet. She was already tucked in for the night, and I didn't have another sheet set for her new bed anyway, so I just left them. I didn't want to go through the hassle of trying to return a product that had already been washed, dried, and slept on, so we still have them. I will try to mend the hole, but when it's time to replace these I will go with the 400 tc pack in the stores. Those are the ones we have on our bed, and I've been relatively happy with them.
Soft Wrinkly Sheets
I ordered these sheets in three different colors which are all beautiful and as pictured. The sheets are very soft, have a bit of 'shimmer' to them and they feel good against the skin. They fit well on even a 14" mattress and not so tight that they risk tearing. The only issue (which really isn't an issue to me) is that they are extremely wrinkly. If this is an issue with you and you don't want to iron your sheets, these may not be the sheets for you. All in all I would buy these sheets again
I purchased these sheets in Sept of 2014. I am handicapped and had surgery so I thought if I had them washes for a while they wouldn't wrinkle I was being slow to write this cause I thought the more they were washed the better they would become. I have been buying sheets for 50 years and never had sheets that WRINKLE this bad, the gal that helps me tried to iron them and then can't get the wrinkles out-- Go to Amazon and look at the sheets they have for $8.99-Sateen Queen, that is what my gal ordered for me, --elestic all the way around, and NO ironing, feel great. very silky. And my gal is glad she doesn't have to iron them. I hope this shows up in reviews so seniors know about how hard they are to iron. Am having my gal give take them to GoodWill, cause they are almost like new. What a waste of my senior income.
Love these sheets. I purchased the red color thinking it was a bit lighter than the actual burgandy I received. Still love them regardless. Good quality and soft right away!
I bought these sheets after buying another set of sateen sheets from a different brand. That other brand was out of stock, so I went with these. I will say that they weren't as soft as I was expecting; however, they aren't stiff either. They're shiny and fit the mattress (double) very well. I've washed them about 30 times now and haven't had issues with them fraying or becoming dull. I would recommend these unless you are looking for Egyptian cotton softness.
